Obasanjo Appointed First Chancellor Of Jigawa State University

Nigeria's previous President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has been named the Chancellor of the recently settled Jigawa State University.

As indicated by a press discharge from the workplace of state's Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Haruna Wakili, Obasanjo's arrangement as the first chancellor of the college was sanction by the state representative Sule Lamido.

Lamido had likewise sent a formal letter to the previous president.

Wakili said Obasanjo's errand was sponsored by Section 8 of Jigawa State University Law, 2013 and Section 2 of the second calendar of the law which vested the guest of the college with the forces to name chancellor for the college.
