Ribadu defends defection to PDP
Ribadu, who was the 2011 presidential applicant of the old Action Congress of Nigeria, herald of the APC, said there was no distinction between the PDP and APC, regarding the character of the individuals who constituted both gatherings.

He said, "In Nigeria, particularly in legislative issues, you can't say that this is a selective gathering for the individuals who are cheats or this is for good individuals.
"It's much the same as saying that all Yorubas are this or all Igbos are this. In every gathering of individuals, there must be great individuals and there are awful individuals. Obviously, the great may be more than the awful or the terrible may be more than the positive qualities in any gathering.
"At the same time there is no any gathering that is solely for the great individuals or for the awful individuals."
He said that his surrender was not borne out of his urgency to understand his political desire however was focused around his energetic energy to serve the nation and its kin.
Abdulaziz said, "It is not genuine that he (Ribadu) was urgent to understand his political aspiration. This is on account of this choice was taken in the overriding enthusiasm of serving the individuals.
"What matters for him is administration. That is the reason actually when he was a part of the resistance party, when government requested that him serve the nation, he acknowledged the offer and he made a glorious showing that everyone hailed aside from the individuals who don't need change in the framework.
"On the off chance that you are prepared to serve the individuals, in some cases you will need to do something that is not in any case acceptable to yourself."
