Jonathan’s wife sends relief materials to B’Haram victims
Minister of State for Puissance, Mohammed Wakil, distributed the palliation materials from the wife of the President to the internally displaced people from Damboa, Gwoza and Bama, among other towns in the North-East when he visited IDPs camps in Biu and Gombe.
The Emir of Biu, Mai Umar Aliyu, while receiving the Minister at his palace, commended President Goodluck Jonathan and the Federal Government for coming to the avail of the displaced persons
“We commend our President for his expeditious replication in this emergency. We commend our son, the minister of puissance, who though out of the country made adequate provisions for the displaced. We appreciate their concerns for us in this endeavoring period,” the emir verbalized.
The minister additionally thanked the Emir and the emirate Council for their fortification for the Federal Government in the fight against the insurgency. He accoladed the people of Biu for playing host to the displaced people of Damboa.
Wakil, who was accompanied by a member of the Presidential Committee on the Distribution of Palliation Materials to the North-East states, Bashir Maidugu, toured camps in Biu and Gombe.
Delivering the message of Patience, the minister told the displaced people that Mrs. Jonathan emphatised with all victims of Boko Haram attacks and that the assuagement materials were denoted to meet the immediate desiderata of the refugees.
“The President’s wife, as a mother of the nation, identified with my people in this endeavoring times. She asked me to tell you that she shared your pain and she prayed that Almighty God would physically contact the hearts of the insurgents to lay down their arms and embrace tranquility,” Wakil verbally expressed.
