Governor Mimiko Joins PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received another political stalwart into its midst as Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo has decamped from the Labour Party (LP) to the PDP.
The move was reportedly concluded yesterday, August 22,2014 and has been attested by chieftains of both parties.
The Commissioner of Information in the state, Kayode Akinmade verbally expressed that as a result of “serious pressure from the leadership of the PDP afore and after the Osun governorship election, the governor is still consulting with stakeholders across the country on this.”
 “For now, the governor is still in Labour Party even if he will eventually move he cannot take a unilateral decision on this matter,’’
Mimiko’s defection comes scarcely a week after the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu withal joined the PDP after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC).
