Ebola: Protesters attack Liberia quarantine centre

An isolate place for suspected Ebola patients in the Liberian capital Monrovia has been assaulted and plundered by dissenters, police say.

The occurrence happened in the thickly populated West Point township on Saturday evening.

No less than 20 patients who were being checked for indications of the disease have left the inside.

Authorities said blood-stained sleeping material plundered from the focal point represented a genuine disease hazard.
