UK airport closed after aircraft landing incident

Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport is shut after an air ship had an issue with its undercarriage while arriving.

The Linksair plane, which had two group parts and one traveler ready for, traveling to the airplane terminal in South Yorkshire from Belfast City Airport.

The traveler was taken to doctor's facility for checks after the occurrence at 19:30 BST, the airplane terminal said.

It included that the Jetstream 31 air ship stayed close to the runway and couldn't be moved until examiners arrived.

It said the runway may stay shut until Saturday lunchtime.

Steve Gill, the airplane terminal overseeing chief, told the Doncaster Free Press: "Our expressions of remorse go to any travelers hoping to fly into or out of Doncaster Sheffield Airport this evening. Our group will work to guarantee the air terminal revives at the earliest opportunity."

Bobby Fett, 39, from Newcastle upon Tyne, was at the air terminal ready for plane because of leave for Romania at the time of the Belfast flight's entry.

He and individual travelers were told by the pilot there was an "issue on the runway".

"The accident happened as I was sat on the plane going to leave," he said.

"I was sat at the back on my airplane and was educated by the pilot that there was an issue on the runway.

"When I gazed out I saw what looked to be a little airplane with its conservative down on the floor. It was clear it had an undercarriage issue by the way it was sat."

Four inbound planned flights and three outbound administrations were influenced on Friday evening, the airplane terminal said.

A further three outbound flights are relied upon to be occupied on Saturday morning.

At 22:00, there were around 300 individuals in the air terminal anticipating data, the airplane terminal included.
